Tim and Amy married and joined the staff at Real Life in 1997. They have been blessed with five amazing kids: Remington, Peyton, Torrey, Chase, and Eli—and recently welcomed their first grandbaby, Brooks.

Tim stays busy leading the Real Life family, creating messages, studying Hebrew, fixing up houses, and coaching track and cross country. Amy supports the church behind the scenes, managing the family and caring for Tim, which is a big job!

Tim’s journey in ministry began as a child when he witnessed a powerful move of God through a small group of families, including his own, who were filled with the Holy Spirit and a passion to see people healed. This experience planted the seed for his life of service, and as a teenager, he received a clear call from God to serve in ministry. While he initially imagined becoming a missionary overseas, after graduating from Calvin College and marrying Amy, he entered full-time ministry, dedicating his life to helping people live better stories.

Tim eventually became Lead Pastor, guiding a fellowship of believers committed to knowing God and making Him known. The church, now called Real Life, continues its mission to save the lost, disciple the saved, and launch disciples who live fully for Jesus.

Tim’s passion is to reach people with the gospel and teach God’s Word in a real, relevant way—helping people understand, apply, and enjoy a transformed life in Christ. Real Life is a place of real people with real problems who know a real God with real answers.
